Involvement

Michigan Humanities Council

I currently serve as the Michigan Humanities Council’s DEI coordinator. In this role, I have been directly involved in transforming the Council’s grants and programming processes to ensure that historically underserved Michigan residents and neighborhoods are equally included and valued in public humanities events and opportunities.

Grant writer at the Asociación de Raíces Indígenas Peruanas (ARIAP)

In the Peruvian Amazons, I collaborate with the Asociación de Raíces Indígenas NGO as a grant writer for their different projects with a specific focus on securing funds for media and linguistic rights.

Translator for the Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Michigan

In the past, I helped translate educational packages that resulted from the University of Puerto Rico and University of Michigan Outreach Program. My job was to translate educational lessons from English to Spanish that will be used in Puerto Rican high schools.
